Leasowes High School, part of the Invictus Education Trust, is delighted to announce the results of its recent Ofsted inspection, conducted on 3rd and 4th December 2024. Inspectors highlighted the school’s nurturing and inclusive ethos, stating, “Pupils are justifiably proud to belong to Leasowes High School.”

The school was rated Good across all areas of the inspection, including the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, and leadership and management. Ofsted stated “The school’s improvement journey has gained momentum over the past eighteen months. Leaders and staff are relentless in their desire to provide pupils with the best possible education.”
Ofsted’s report praised the "calm and purposeful" environment at Leasowes High School, where pupils benefit from "extremely effective relationships between staff and pupils" and feel supported to excel. Inspectors noted that pupils demonstrate "very positive attitudes towards people from backgrounds different to their own" and take pride in the school’s high expectations and the varied opportunities for personal growth.
Miss Chris Papadopoullos, Headteacher, celebrated the report’s findings, saying:"This Ofsted inspection confirms what we as a school community already know: Leasowes High School is a place where pupils thrive, thanks to the dedication of our incredible staff and the enthusiasm of our pupils. I am so proud of everyone’s hard work and the recognition of the positive culture we have created together."
The school’s broad and ambitious curriculum was commended for meeting the needs of all pupils. Pupils’ personal development was another standout feature, with enriching experiences such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, theatre visits, and school productions ensuring that "the ‘Leasowes Learner’ is placed at the heart" of all activities.
Safeguarding was also found to be effective, with inspectors acknowledging that pupils feel safe and well supported.
