Leasowes High School's Stuart Chatterton Receives James Dyson Foundation Excellence Award



Leasowes High School, part of Invictus Education Trust, proudly congratulates Stuart Chatterton, Head of Design & Technology, on receiving the prestigious James Dyson Foundation ‘Excellence Award for Outstanding D&T Teacher’.


Stuart was honoured at the D&T Excellence Awards Evening, a captivating event hosted by the Design and Technology Association at Aerospace Bristol.


A truly exceptional educator, Stuart possesses a remarkable ability to inspire his students, consistently elevating their academic outcomes and upholding the highest standards of education. His invaluable contributions to the subject of Design and Technology have made him a shining example in the field, rendering him a most deserving recipient of the James Dyson Foundation ‘Excellence Award for Outstanding D&T Teacher’.


Stuart embarked on his journey with Leasowes High School in 2007 as a newly qualified teacher and later assumed the position of Head of Department in 2016. Over the years, his dedication and efforts have consistently shone through, evident through the school's impressive record of success in competitions such as the RAF Glider Challenge, winning annually from 2017 to 2021. More recently, Leasowes’ F1 in Schools Students reached the national finals in the current year.


The James Dyson Foundation Excellence Award is a prestigious honour within the educational sector, acknowledging remarkable individuals who exemplify excellence in Design and Technology. Stuart’s recognition in this capacity is a testament to his exceptional commitment and the transformative impact he has made on his students' educational journeys.
